Bonavista Biennale, was founded in 2016 as a Project of 2 Rooms Contemporary Art. The month long contemporary visual arts festival takes place every other year in historic buildings and the landscape throughout the Bonavista Peninsula. A collaborative effort to enhance creative tourism in the region, Bonavista Biennale remains a unique rural-based national event and a significant element within the Canadian cultural landscape. Generously supported by Canada Council for the Arts, Canada 150 Fund, NLArts, ACOA, Fishers Loft, corporate sponsors, local businesses and individual donors, Bonavista Biennale continues to run on odd numbered years, from mid-August to mid-September.
